Walking in Christ
1 Thessalonians 3:11-4:8

It is God's will that we be sanctified. What in the world is that? It is the process of becoming _____. This happens upon salvation and continues as a person continues to walk in Christ. In the Old Testament the Hebrew word is qadosh (holy), and that simply means radiance, separation and purity. This could be objects, places, or people (_____________). In the New Testament, the Greek word is hagios (holy), which means separated, consecrated, purified, made free from sin (_______________). In the context of people, sanctification is what puts us in right relationship with the Lord.

Paul is reminding the Thessalonians that it is God's desire that they be a holy people, set apart for use by God. In order for that to happen there are some specific actions that must take place.
